Capstone (CST 499)
Course Description
Students will work on a project in large groups (up to 5 students in each group), developing requirements specification, a solution plan followed by design and implementation of the solution. The problem statement for the projects will be selected by the faculty. Faculty will also play the role of a project manager directing the schedule and deliverables for these projects.

This project was an individual effort.
The purpose of the "Culture Connect" project was to create a solution that allows users to search a geographic region and find historical and cultural points of interest. The goal of this project was to make that search quick and effective, to make the results comprehensive, and to help people discover the rich history around us.

The final deliverable of the project was a mobile application created using Android Studio 4.0.2, Java 1.8, Google Maps SDK for Android and Google Places SDK for Android. It was compiled using SDK version 28 and will support Android device version 9 and above. It leverages Google Maps and Google Places APIs to provide map and locations information.
